Feature roadmap
1st Release for launch of the pilot phase (July 2025)
The objective of the first release is to enable the start of the pilot phase, which focuses on testing and preparing for the availability of age verification solutions across different Member States.
Features supported:
- Issuance based on eID
- Batch issuance
- Full support for Age Verification profile
- Localisation and multilingualism
- Support for the trusted list of issuers and test version of the trusted list
Later releases
Both the White Label Solution and the specifications will be incrementally developed and improved over the course of the project.
Features that will be implemented in the later releases:
- Digital Credentials API
- Issuance without existing eID (based on passport or id-card or a 3rd party application)
- Zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) solution
- Improvements based on testing and piloting feedback
